Kelp

Experimenting with a new 'framed' format was an interesting challenge. The scale was smaller than I had previously worked with and choosing a subject like 'Kelp' allowed me to fill the frame with great texture and the long shape of Kelp fitted so well into this elongated format.
 
How often one finds bits of shell or little rocks attached. It was an opportunity to mix materials incorporating wooden beads and string with the wool.
